Organizing

Some people would think organizing is easy. Some would even think it's just a phone call and everything'll be done by itself. But I'm gonna tell you, organizing an event, a game of football or badminton, or a party... Just about anything, it's not as easy as you might think as just 'a phone call' or 'some phone call'.

I know because I did it before. It's not just a phone call, it's what's in the call that matters. When you invite someone by calling them, their replies aren't always what you expect it to be. Some would give a definite answer, like 'No, I'm not free' or 'Ok, I'll come'. There are also some that are not free, but unsure to let got or not of an opportunity, would tell you 'See first can ma?' By saying so, you'd book him/her a place automatically. This is probably the most hated answer, hated by organizers coz that lousy answer seems to bring hope and dissapointment... Well... mostly dissapointments... It just sucks when they 'fong fei gei'. That blasted feeling of lousiness and unachieving start to spook up behind your head... And then some, I repeat, some, people would say "You're lousy la... I'll call them next time. And it'll be merrier." (Suit yourself...) you'd think.

One of the most ugliest (I call it ugly coz it's like no direction) way of organizing is to just call one person, and ask that person to spread to message. It has no use, you can't confirm their attendance and everything's just won't go right. Unless you don't give a damn... I hated this way... Not my way... They call it "leng deng".

So if you're invited by a friend, say yes or no. Or call back later to confirm. I know of a friend who hates to hear "see first la". If you tell him "see first lah..." Expect him to be right there to just punch you in the face. Lolzzz...
